I. am. in. desperate. need. of. sleep!
But otherwise, things are going well. Got into casablanca last night and managed to make my way into town without any major incidents (LOVED the trains...and it's so cheap to! the taxi was more of an issue...it cost just as much to take a half hour train ride-first class-from the airport to what my landlord had told me was the closest station as it did to get from the station to the apartment...and even though we were on the meter I am pretty sure he overcharged me AND he wanted to charge me double fare for having bags which I am almost positive is ridiculous. I don't know...but in any case I made it!)
got a chance to see a little of the area today and it all seems very nice...lots of shops around...mostly I am just tired and disoriented! But I will get over it tomorrow, when I meet with my office and try to figure out what I will be doing for them this summer.
also, my building has a cleaning lady who will clean my apartment and do my laundry and that's included in the rent! Which is pretty exciting. I'm going to stay here for atleast the first week while I get accustomed to the area and scope out a few more places, but this is definitely a good place to start and I am so glad I managed to find it (online...in french...yeah, I know. Only a little sketchy!)
